Hi y'all..I am just now getting around to posting this, and I apologize for that. I started a designer break towards the end of September when my Daddy passed. Now this past weekend, less than 6 weeks since my Daddy passed, my mother passed. I will be on a designer break until further notice. I am hoping to come back January 2012. Thank you all for understanding.

I found the software to be very basic, and quite easy to use. I believe this program would be fantastic for beginners, as well as more experienced digital scrappers. It is pretty easy to get the hang of. Unfortunately, I was not able to find a way to customize my shadows, as I do in my other program. Also, you can only load one element or paper, at a time. These are just MY personal preferences that I am used to from my other program. All in all, I do think it is a great program, that is very user friendly & a great deal for the price. Sadly, with everything going on around here with my Daddy's passing & my Mother being so ill, I have not had as much time to play with the program as I had hoped. But I felt I needed to get this deal out to y'all NOW!

Hello everyone!! I hope this post finds everyone well & happy! I have 3 releases this week, 2 new & 1 re-release. I have been working my tushie off, trying to get these done, as well as finish challenges in the Design Factor Challenge, packing, packing, packing, trying to keep up the housework, and of course, spending time with my kiddos. Unfortunately, I have had to drop out of the challenge..we just have so much going on right now, I can't keep up with it. But do go over to Digi Scrap Connect and check it out! There are TONS of "freebies" there, each download is available for 2 weeks! Here are mine (you can find the download links in the description--They will each be active til August 15th or so).

I released Stacked & Scalloped when I was at Polka Dot Plum, and decided this week to release them at Scrappity-Doo-Dah!

Next, we have my new {favorite} kit, Simply Beautiful! It combines 3 of my favorite colors: blue, cream & brown!! I generally include those colors in every kit, but I thought...what about a kit that is JUST blues! It can work for a boy layout, or girl layouts..or adult layouts too!

Recently one of my creative team members requested a set of masks..and I came up with Fun{ky} Masks Volume 1. They can be used for papers, photos, glitter...very versatile! Each mask is 6+ inches in size.

Hey, Hi, HELLO!!! Wow, I cant believe it's JULY already!! Where has 2011 gone?! Next thing we know it will be... *gasp* Christmas! *shock* I told you I'd be back soon with more info on a new venture...and so, here I am!!

My good friend Faye, of Farynar's Wings, & I collab quite often...so we decided to start our own design name specifically for collabs!! Everything will still be the same high quality goodies you always find in our shops, they will just be available under Ohm Designs!

We are in the process of putting all of our collabs into the shop, bundled and individually..and we have another collab kit in the works! So check back soon!! In the meantime, here's what's available now! We have 2 new releases..

Introducing Zack Attack, named after Faye's oldest son (who is turning 9 this month!!!)..perfect for scrapping the older boys in your life ;) It contains 22 papers (9 solid, 13 patterned), 69 elements, and 2 alphas! (including several flowers, gears, frames, lots of clustery-goodies!)

Oh my! Where has June (and May for that matter!) gone?!?! I have a few items of news for y'all today...!

First: we're having a Joy of Summer sale at Scrappity Doo Dah!

Next, Faye of Farynar's Wings is having her first ever CT Call!!

Be sure to keep an eye out on 5 Star Digital Scrapbooking. I am being featured there. I was supposed to be featured on June 8, but Veronica, the owner of the site, has had some serious computer problems. Thankfully, she was able to recover everything! (So many of us know how devastating it can be to lose EVERYTHING!!!) I have given a small kit, named Moody Blues, to be given away. I am not sure WHEN my feature will be up, but I'll be sure to let y'all know!!

Have you heard of the new digital scrapbooking site called Digi Scrap Connect? It is owned/run by Ripple/Ripal (formerly of DST fame). They have gotten together with several stores (Scrappity Doo Dah being one of them!) and started a design program/contest. It's called The Design Factor. The Design Factor is not truly a contest, there will be no judging. It is more of a challenge...we are challenging ourselves to be better! We do get awards for participating, but this is to teach us things we may not know how to do...pretty awesome eh? So check it out, leave love for what you like, and download all the samples that you love!! Please note, the first challenge we are only allowed to use what WE create, as well as commercial use brushes, styles, and what not. Everything is being scanned/extracted, or handmade (digitally) by us!

Now, last, but not least, I have a news for y'all. As you know, Faye of Farynar's Wings & I have collab'd a few times...well we have decided to make a store JUST for our collabs!! Check back soon for more information ;)

Well, this post was SUPPOSED to post on Friday, and I JUST realized TODAY (Monday!!) That it never posted!! (My fault, somehow I set the date/time wrong! LOL)

Hello Hello Hello!!

I'm back with another feature of a Designer who I think has quality commercial use products, who you might not know about!! This week, I am featuring Yvonne, of Vonnie's Digiworld. Yvonne has TRIPLE duty at Scrappity-Doo-Dah. Not only is she Vonnie's Digiworld, but she is half of Diddley Scrap (who I featured a few weeks ago) as well the OWNER of Scrappity-Doo-Dah. Now, I must admit, I am on Yvonne's CT. She approached me in December, asking me if I would be willing to work with hers & Digi-Overdose (the other half of Diddley Scrap)'s commercial-use products. I have been quite happy with their products! I want to be completely honest, which is why I am informing y'all that I'm on their CT. But I do love their products! And because of that, I am featuring Vonnie this week!!
(I am NOT required to post this as any requirements, I have chosen to do this on my own accord. My main goal with these posts is to show commercial use designers that people may or may not know about. I did not know of Vonnie's Digiworld, Digi-Overdose, or Diddley Scrap until a few months ago, when I was RAK'd a pack of stitches. I was quite pleased & have shopped there since. In fact, I bought their Buy My Store sale for DSD.)

So.. with that "disclaimer" out of the way, let's get on to the goodies!!
As far as TOU goes, Yvonne does not require credit, though it IS appreciated, and freebies are allowed. Her CU products are allowed to be used in kits available for scrap for hire/scrap for others. You can see her TOU here.

Yesterday was the Grand Opening Day of Farynar's Wings!! Faye has her entire shop on 30% off til February 7th!!

CU Highlight: Americo

Hello again! I apologize for missing last monday, it was a hellacious weekend and a hectic week. Mostly involving a sick 4 year old (missed FOUR days of school--SAVE ME!!) and a sick 2 year old...on top of the fact that mommy (me!) has been ill for over a month now!! (BOOOOOOOO!)

I had planned on blogging in advance each week, so I don't..ya know..forget....but...you know what they say about good intentions?

Anywho..

This week I want to highlight Americo!! Americo is...awesome! He has some of the best commercial use characters I have ever had the privilege of buying. On top of it, he has a great soul. You can find Americo at the store he runs with his wife, Dream's Pieces, Creative Mundi. They constantly have fantastic sales at Creative Mundi, and do AWESOME freebies on their blog too ;)

Being that Valentine's Day is right around the corner, I feel I am REQUIRED to point out a few of Americo's Valentine's products!

My friend Manders had joined the store creative team (Sugar Plums--there's a call right now!!) and suggested I come join them for a chat..at the time I wasnt doing anything, so I hopped on over, and TADA! I was addicted. I quickly was enlisted on Amy & Lauren's CT. I also won guest spots on 2 designers teams, and a lead ct position for another designer!! AMAZING right?! Polka Dot Plum has been my home for over a year now..I am SO honored to be a DESIGNER there now!! I am so grateful for the chance from Amy & Lauren, letting me on their team, into their family & now a part of their designing family! I have been admiring Amy & Lauren's CU works from the get go..having bought several before I joined the design team. They are doodly, and great!

New Year, New Ideas..

Hey y'all!!

Being a relatively new designer (less than 2 years) I am still learning things constantly. I have learned SO much about quality, I am so thankful!! I have been working on going back over all my old releases and re-vamping them, to make sure they are quality products! I don't want to give my customers anything but the best quality products, ever!!

As a designer, I'm finding it hard at times to find good quality CU products. I have certain designers that I fall back on constantly, mostly because I am afraid to try new designers. And I dont necessarily mean designers that are new, but designers that are NEW TO ME! So I am working on broadening my horizons when it comes to designers I purchase from. I am always accepting referrals ;) LOL

I have decided this year that I am going to start posting once a week highlighting my favorite CU finds. I am going to try to include at LEAST one "new-to-me" designer each week! So if you find a fabulous find, LET ME KNOW!! I am ALL FOR trying something/someone new ;)

So, to start this out, I want to highlight DIDDLEY SCRAP. Diddley Scrap is a collaboration of Tam from Digi Overdose & Yvonne of Vonnie's DigiWorld. They create high quality commercial use products. I had seen them at Scrappity Doo-Dah, but hadnt tried them out, as I said before, I'm always hesitant to try new CU designers....I've been burned with poor quality & poor customer service on top of it, so many times now that the saying "once burned, twice shy"..yeah, that works double for me buster! LOL One day I got a PM from Yvonne, it was an RAK for a set of stitches they had just released! I immediately added them to my cart, and TADA! LOVE! Anywho, I didnt think of them again, because there are just SO many CU designers out there... Then one day, I saw that they were having a sale for DSD..their entire store for $10...and the sale continued AFTER DSD...so I HAD to try them!! It was totally worth it. I find their products to be high quality, fantastic extractions, and they fit my style, perfectly!!

A Charity Collab & a Digiscrap Freebie!

A friends tragedy...& DSD..

Early this morning, my friend Tish (PixieMama Designs) was notified that her house had burned down..what a horrible tragedy!!! Tish & her family were out of town when they got this horrible news. To read what she has said, visit her blog. I HAVE to do something to help. They have lost everything except for what they had with them when they left.

I have decided I am going to donate all of my DSD sales for this weekend to Tish & her family, and I am contributing to a collab in her honor. They essentially have to start over, from scratch. The designers of Scrappity-Doo-Dah, owners included, are doing a charity kit. I have a new kit coming out & it is my favorite one so far!! The colors are so deep & rich, they make me think of hot chocolate, coffee, cider, pumpkin bread, cranberries & cream...YUM!! (Can you tell I haven't had breakfast yet?!) Fall is my favorite time of the year..though here in Central Texas it really just means that the colors start to fade. Digiridooscraps.com are looking to hire a team of 4-5 Quality Control Checkers or our store.

We are looking for individuals with an eye for deatil and a commitment to high quality standards. As a member o our QC team, you will be in direct contact with our Design Team, so you will need to be assertive and be able to deliver criticism in a firm but friendly manner. There will be a 2 day turnaround deadline on all kits/products QC'd,, so you will need to be available to check in on our QC thread regularly.

Please do not apply if you are unable to make a long term commitment to our site.

Previous QC or design experience is preferred, but not essential. All successful applicants will be trained by our current Quality Checker and you will be given clear guidelines on our QC policy.

As payment, all Digiridooscraps.com staff members have free access to all PU products in our store.

All applications should include a short bio, a summary of any previous experience, and a breife explanation of why you think you would make a great addition to the Digiridooscraps.com QC Team.

Please email all applications to designers@digiridooscraps.com no later than September 15, 2010.

Some gorgeous CU goodies

One of my fave ladies, Color With Caryn, has some great CU goodies out, that I've been slacking {i.e. being a bad CT} and not telling y'all about!! So I'm here to tell you now {while I'm thinking about it!} I'm also going to show you some of her recent Personal Use products too...coz they are just too purdy not to!!

Isnt that Alpha just AWESOME?! Y'all know I'm not a pink lover..but this is just toooo perfect NOT to love!! <3

These wrinkled overlays are just FANTASTIC!! They give your papers wrinkes AND touch of texture/grunge. I use them, a LOT!!

This set of Commercial Use for Commercial Use styles are just FANTASTIC!! They are perfect for elements! There are colored kraft paper, glitter, gel & epoxy in red, yellow, blue & green! 16 styles in total!

These cardboard overlays give your papers such a rich texture, and they really do look like cardboard or kraft board! The more I play with them, the more I WANT to play with them!! & of course, they have just the perfect touch of grunge to them...coz I am ALLLLLL about the grunge!! <3 There is even 1 corrugated cardboard overlay in there ;)

These are probably my all-time FAVORITE grunge overlays!! I use them so often, I have to FORCE myself to use them a little less! They are grungy, full of texture, & just ohhh so fantastic!! <3

Check out these adorable bronze beach charms! There are 2 starfish, a fish, a shell & a palm tree..in both charm & regular metal element form. She has them desaturated as well for easy recoloring. Arent they SOOOO cute?!?

These template are made from my good friend Sarah's layouts. They are just too cute for words. If you check her blog you can find the layouts she made them from! :)

Dont these adorable CU Clouds look like perfect cotton candy clouds plucked right out of the sky?? I think they are the fantastic elements to add around a moon for a midnight sky, or they can be darkened for a rainstorm layout or kit. They can be used as both personal use for layouts, or commercial use for a kit. And at the fantastic price of $3.49, how can you beat that?! The first pack has 8 clouds, the second pack has 9.

These cardboard styles are to die for! There are 10 styles, in 5 shades, 1 set just cardboard, 1 set cardboard with burned edges. they are fantastic for elements & papers! I LOVE them!! You can mix them with patterns, grungy overlays (like the ones above) whatever you want!! <3

Check out these fantastic texture plates! They are SO much fun!! I love adding them to my papers, they give them sooo much depth!

These fabric texture overlays are another must have for any designers stash! There are 8 overlays, perfect for adding dimension, depth & even some pattern to your papers. I LOVE the argyle one & the plaid..they are SO much fun!! <3

Do you like daisies?? I DO!!! They are one of my 2 favorite flowers!! (The other being lilies!) These 2 packs of 4 overlays are just GORGEOUS!! They are 2 major must haves, especially for flower lovers!!

These are like..2 of my fave layouts..ever!! {that i've done anyways!} lol I am on Kalo Designs creative team & was lucky enough to get my hands on this mini-kit:

& I recently found a designer who I just ADORE!! Berry Sweet Designs! She has some AWESOME templates on top of adorable kits!! I used her template pack All Clustered Up...I have a template pack by the same name which I found GREATLY amusing!! LOL

On another note, we are in the process of switching servers at Digital Scrap Ink, and are waiting for them to switch our domain. But the server we are transferring FROM is blocking us LEFT & RIGHT!!
